Alhamdulilah. All praise is due to God.
Imagine someone who gives and gives and gives asking nothing in return. And the ones to whom He gives get so consumed in their blessings that they forget to thank Him. How many times do we get angry when people forget to say thank you to us over petty matters. Now imagine not thanking the one who put you on this earth. The One who tends to all your affairs. The One who gave you life.
Gratitude is the backbone of our relationship with Allah (swt), and showing gratitude to Allah is part of having faith in Him. One who is grateful is mindful of being indebted for Allah’s bounties, regardless of how big or small--expressing this feeling by heart, tongue, through deeds, words, and even actions.

If someone goes out of their way to provide for us, often times we try doing things to please them. Then why is it that we forget to please the One who provided us with everything and more? SubhanAllah, we forget that He the Almighty Allah is the all-provider. He blesses us with warm homes, loving families, plentiful food, financial stability, and the opportunity to be educated. Yet, the greatest blessing of all is being gifted this deen.
Insha’Allah this week let us make a conscious effort to say Alhamdulilah for all the blessings in our life and let us try to sincerely please Allah (swt) in our actions to show our gratitude.
